Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026 · Imprint: Mac Upgraded

These terms govern your use of Brickr, the iOS screen time and physical habit blocker application developed by Rakesh Kode.

1. Apple FamilyControls & Screen Time Frameworks

Brickr operates using Apple's official Screen Time, FamilyControls, and ManagedSettings APIs. You must grant Screen Time permissions on your iOS device for the application to enforce shields and limits. You can revoke these permissions at any time via iOS Settings.

2. NFC Physical Friction

Brickr lets you pair compatible NFC tags to act as physical unlock keys. You are responsible for keeping track of your paired physical tags. Brickr provides emergency override options within the app settings if a physical tag is misplaced.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

Brickr is provided "as is". While the application is designed to help reduce screen time and improve productivity, Rakesh Kode does not warrant specific habit outcomes, and is not liable for missed notifications or communications while an app shield is active.
