Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026 · Imprint: Mac Upgraded
NFC Pocket is built to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version
NFC Pocket does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. Everything the app does happens on your device.
Data we collect
None. NFC Pocket has no servers and makes no network requests for your content. We cannot see your tags, your saved items, or how you use the app.
Data stored on your device
- Saved tags. When you save a tag, its contents are stored locally on your iPhone so you can reuse or copy them later. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the item or uninstall the app.
- NFC scans. Reading and writing tags happens entirely on-device through Apple's Core NFC. Tag data is only held in memory for the current operation unless you choose to save it.
NFC & permissions
NFC Pocket uses NFC only while the app is open and only when you start a scan by tapping a button. iOS shows a system prompt for every scan — nothing is read in the background. When you create a contact record, you may pick a contact through the system contact picker; the app only receives the single contact you choose.
Children's privacy
NFC Pocket does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
