Terms of Service

Last updated 30 September 2026 · Studio: Mac Upgraded

These terms govern your use of Murmur, the open-source, on-device AI voice dictation and meeting transcription application for macOS developed by Rakesh Kode.

1. Open Source License

Murmur is licensed under the MIT License. You are free to inspect, modify, and distribute the application according to the terms of the MIT license.

2. 100% On-Device Processing

All speech recognition, audio processing, filler-word filtering, and local notes generation run locally on your Mac using Apple's Neural Engine and WhisperKit. No audio or transcripts are sent to external servers. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have consent to record audio or meetings in your jurisdiction.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

Murmur is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While Whisper models provide industry-leading transcription accuracy, we do not warrant that transcription will be 100% error-free under all acoustic environments or accents.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the software.

5. Contact & Inquiries

For questions or support regarding Murmur, email contact@rakeshkode.co.uk.
